Description
The dam across Lake Témiscouata was originally built in 1929 where the lake flows into the River Madawaska. It was completely rebuilt at the beginning of the 1990's.
Pedestrians and cyclists can cross the dam on a unique path that joins the two banks and also provides a viewing point to observe the fish ladder. Nearby is a park with interpretation panels explaining the history, wildlife and archaeology.
Access is from the Chemin du Barrage or route 295, Dégelis.
