The chapel stands as a witness to the history of the French speaking protestant community that was present in the Lower St. Lawrence between 1908 and 2010.
In 1920 there were 225 members, and the church and school were inaugurated in January 1922.
Today the chapel has a new vocation as a cultural center, protecting the site and calling attention to its history.
There are shows, exhibitions and guided visits. The chapel can also be used for different activities such as weddings, funerals, civil baptisms, meetings or training courses.
