Description
Témiscouata wind farms consist of two projects which together produce 75.2 MW from a total of 32 wind turbines. This includes a 23.5 MW community project, developed in partnership with the Témiscouata RM and commissioned in December 2014. The electricity produced is enough to supply more than 13,800 Quebec homes, and it provides the region with green, sustainable and renewable energy.
For visitors, the Témiscouata RM and Boralex have chosen 2 locations for their views of Lake Témiscouata and Mount Citadelle. Follow the signs at the wind farm to the Aura and Vert-uose sites. (The names were chosen in a contest won by Saint-Honoré-de-Témiscouata and Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha! primary schools). From there you can enjoy the wonderful view and learn more about this green energy.
